We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager for a leading nursing home in C o Kilkenny , Ireland.

Responsibilities
- Ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the nursing home while promoting a safe, caring, and resident-centred environment that supports residents' dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
- Assess, monitor, and coordinate residents' clinical care, including medication management, care planning, GP and multidisciplinary team liaison, infection prevention, and maintaining accurate nursing documentation in accordance with NMBI standards.
- Supervise, support, and develop nursing and care staff through leadership, training, performance management, rostering, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain effective communication with residents, families, healthcare professionals, management, and staff to ensure continuity of care and timely resolution of concerns.
- Assist the Home Manager in quality assurance activities, including audits, regulatory compliance, HIQA standards, risk management, and continuous service improvement.
- Support the management of staffing, payroll records, budgets, supplies, and resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation of the nursing home.
- Promote a positive reputation for the nursing home by maintaining high standards of presentation, supporting occupancy initiatives, and fostering strong relationships within the local community and healthcare services.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, emergency procedures, fire safety protocols, infection control measures, and safe working practices throughout the facility.
- Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, confidentiality, ethical practice, and accountability while safeguarding residents' personal, financial, and healthcare interests.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities, mandatory training, professional development, and undertake any additional duties assigned by the Home Manager or senior management to support the effective delivery of resident care.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Minimum 2 years' management or supervisory experience, preferably within a nursing home or elderly care setting.
- Previous experience leading, supervising, and supporting multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong team player with effective leadership and decision-making abilities.
- A genuine commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care for older adults.
- Experience and/or relevant qualifications in Care of the Elderly is desirable.
- Successful completion of Garda Vetting (or eligibility to obtain Garda Vetting clearance).
