We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 - Intensive Care in our Hospital in Cork, Ireland.

(Full time, Permanent)

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients.
• Manage and coordinate ICU nursing staff, including roster planning, supervision, performance management, and professional development.
• Oversee patient care management, ensuring appropriate staffing levels based on acuity and supporting complex clinical decision-making.
• Lead quality improvement and risk management initiatives, ensuring compliance with HIQA standards and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support effective communication, service development, and optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Registered in the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Minimum 5 years post-registration acute care nursing experience, with significant clinical experience at CNM2 level or equivalent.
• Demonstrable commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and clinical governance.
• Excellent knowledge of contemporary critical care nursing practice and standards.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability in change management and service development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of nurse education, staff development, and workforce planning.
• Clear vision for the ongoing development and enhancement of ICU services.
