This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further develop their expertise in clinical negligence within a supportive, client-focused, and ambitious environment.

You'll be responsible for managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision and training, depending on your level of experience. • Investigate potential claims thoroughly by obtaining and reviewing medical records, drafting chronologies, and instructing appropriate medical experts
  • Assess breach of duty and causation, identifying viable claims and advising clients accordingly
  • Advise clients clearly and compassionately throughout the claims process, providing regular updates and strategic guidance tailored to their circumstances
  • Draft legal documentation including letters of claim and response, witness statements, expert instructions, and detailed schedules of loss
  • Quantify claims accurately, identifying opportunities to pursue interim payments to support clients with early rehabilitation and care needs
  • Negotiate settlements with defendants and third parties in a way that ensures the best possible financial and rehabilitative outcome for the client
  • Attend conferences with counsel, expert meetings, mediations, and court hearings as required
  • Work collaboratively with senior fee earners and colleagues across the team, contributing to case strategy and departmental goals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring full compliance with the firm's internal processes, the SRA Code of Conduct, and data protection standards
  • Support business development activity where appropriate, including knowledge sharing and contributing to firm-wide initiatives

About You

  • A genuine passion for helping clients navigate sensitive and complex claims
