Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon - Liverpool

Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for the next step in your career? This opportunity is to join a supportive and ambitious team as Clinical Lead. The practice is home to a close-knit team with substantial experience across first opinion practice, referral work, and charity activities. They emphasise professional development and learning together, with CPD encouraged in-house and externally.

Salary and hours: up to £70,000 (dependent on experience). Flexibility in hours (full or part-time available) with a rota that includes just one Saturday in four. There is a clear career pathway with funded CPD and support towards certificates.

Location context: free onsite parking with nearby cafés and shops; close to Prescot town centre, and within easy reach of Liverpool, Chester, and Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership within a small animal first opinion practice, including surgery and medicine.
• Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high standards of patient care and client service.
• Support and participate in ongoing professional development and learning opportunities for the team, including CPD and qualifications.
• Contribute to achieving a positive, values-driven workplace where colleagues feel valued, supported, and inspired.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Confident in all aspects of small animal first opinion practice, surgery, and medicine.
• Leadership experience is not essential; strong clinical confidence, clear communication, and a collaborative approach are valued.
• Interest in developing a special surgical interest is welcomed and supported.
• Commitment to engaging in CPD and professional development.
