Clinical Leader - Pre Operative Assessment

Location: Derby Hospital. Employment: Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week. Salary: up to £48,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Clinical Leader to help build a healthier nation. The role requires registration with the appropriate governing body and appropriate qualifications and experience, including NMC. Strong clinical leadership to lead a team towards a shared vision, promote innovation and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient running of the pre operative assessment department and support or deputise for the Clinical Head of Department (as required).
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all members of the MDT, consultants and patients.
• Display enthusiasm and a strong "can do" attitude that reflects a desire to succeed.
• Co ordinate activity and be responsible for patient care and safety.
• Be instrumental to the patient experience, ensuring seamless, personalised care.
• Apply knowledge and skills in assessment, care planning and delivery.
• Champion a supportive, enabling working culture on the ward, promoting staff safety and education.

Qualifications and Experience

• Registered with the relevant governing body.
• Qualified and experienced, including NMC registration.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge and understanding of running a smooth and effective department.

The Nuffield Health Derby Hospital is a modern, purpose built facility with 38 en suite beds and three operating theatres. It also offers a range of outpatient services and a small but busy radiology department covering general radiographic procedures, theatre, ultrasound, MRI and CT. The hospital is located within easy reach of major roads and bus routes, about three miles from the city centre.
