Clinical administration is a key function in the management and day to day functionality of community nursing teams and the patients they care for. The purpose of this role is to work with and support the Community Nursing team with their clinical administration functions associated with the management of patients.
Main duties of the jobAccept incoming tasks and referrals to the team, setting appropriate care plans. Use the autoplanner functionality within SystmOne to allocate the following days visits. Support the duty sister to review allocated visits and support any changes required to the visit lists. Support with the replenishment and ordering of stock and equipment for the team.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

Person Specification Experience- Experience of using trust electronic systems such as SystmOne and telephone call handling
- Understanding of community nursing caseloads and systems of working
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good organisational and facilitation skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to use audit methodologies
- Preparing excel spreadsheets and reports
- Clinical knowledge
- Able to assess service user needs, apply appropriate care plan and allocate the visit to the appropriate professional to deliver the care
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent level of training and understanding of clinical organisation gained through individual training and experience
- Understanding and familiarity with electronic systems such as SystmOne
