Clinic Maintenance Clerk

An opportunity has arisen for a full time Clinic Maintenance Clerk based at our Conquest Hospital Appointments Office. The chosen applicant will form part of an admin team responsible for the amending of outpatient clinics.
The purpose of the job would be to form part of a team within Core Services, which are responsible for the timely and effective amending of outpatient clinics on our patient administration system. To notify patients of changes in appointments in line with the Referral to Treatment: Access and Management Policy, National Performance Targets.
Main duties of the jobThe ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, IT knowledge, knowledge of PAS and ERS, be able to prioritise, and an ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team working to strict deadlines.
The post is based at the Conquest and the Service operates from 8am - 6pm Monday-Friday, the post holder would be rostered shifts 8-4pm,9am-5pm and 10-6pm.
The Trust is committed to supporting and developing their staff through apprenticeship programmes. If you do not have an NVQ you will be required to undertake a qualification as part of the apprenticeship scheme. The apprenticeship linked to tis role is a diploma in Business Administration Level 2/3 .

Person Specification Qualifications- Good general education to GCSE level including Maths and English
- NVQ 3 in Business Administration, or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
- Additional training and skills in IT or familiar with Trust systems.
- Previous experience of administration work, either voluntary or paid, in a busy environment
- Experience and understanding of a PAS system or similar IT skills
- Customer care skills and experience, preferably within a healthcare environment
- Experience of working in a busy environment
- At least six months' clerical experience
- Experience and understanding of a PAS system
- Experience of dealing with difficult/sensitive/confidential situations
