Job Description

As a Client Consultant, you are an essential part of a team that delivers the extraordinary to our customers. As a Retail team member and an expert of all things Selfridges, you are fully knowledgeable of everything about the store, including the latest events and services that only Selfridges can offer. Based in your department, you will create memorable experiences by understanding reasons to visit for all our customers, deepening relationships, and growing your client book, while maintaining the highest retail standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Create the extraordinary by identifying and connecting with potential clients shopping in your department, and quickly assessing and catering to their needs.
  2. Work as part of a team focused on creating memorable customer experiences, including selling, replenishing stock, cashing up, organizing rails, hosting, and ensuring accurate data capture at POS, while encouraging opt-ins.
  3. Dedicate time to building a client base within your division and nurturing long-term relationships through proactive client development, including personalized updates based on preferences, with a focus on driving OB brands and key products.
  4. Elevate customer experiences by providing seamless connections to the rest of the store and our Brand Partners, acting as a trusted member of the team.
  5. Manage customer feedback constructively to continually raise service, sales, and retail standards.
  6. Stay ahead of the latest trends by expanding your product and competitor knowledge, striving to be an expert in your division.
  7. Follow health, safety, and security procedures, actively participate in preventing stock loss.

  1. Excellent communicator, adaptable to customer needs, personalizing all interactions and keeping My Yellow Book updated.
  2. Sales and service expert, acting as a personal concierge, assessing needs quickly, and delivering exceptional service.
  3. Well-informed, demonstrating excellent product knowledge and awareness of store events and services.
  4. Connected, building relationships across the shop floor and knowing who to involve for additional expertise.
  5. Curious, seeking to learn more about clients and stay ahead of trends.
  6. Tech-savvy, embracing clienteling tools and omni-channel approaches.
  7. A proud shopkeeper, maintaining a clean environment, supporting cashing up, and assisting the team.
