Clerk of Works

Our Clerk of Works will be responsible for monitoring work carried out on Compco sites to ensure compliance and quality of projects.

With a high attention to detail and excellent communication skills, you will have a pivotal role at Compco Fire Systems.

What you'll be doing:

• Carry out regular inspections on construction and Compco sites.
• Conduct project internal audits.
• Ensure that all work meets the required quality standards, identifying any issues.
• Maintain detailed records of all inspections, including photographs, reports and non-compliance issues.
• Ensure measurements and material usage follow initial plans.
• Report findings to construction/project managers.
• Mark up drawings detailing site changes.
• Monitor site health and safety practices and report any issues to the SHE Manager.
• Participate in the delivery of staff training.

What you'll need:

• Proven experience in inspecting or supervising construction/engineering works.
• NVQ Level 3/4 or equivalent in mechanical/building services/fire protection (or relevant trade background).
• Hold a valid CSCS White/Black card or be working towards industry accredited qualification to secure one.
• Knowledge of quality assurance, inspection techniques and defect management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Driving License.

This role requires the successful candidate to be within commuting distance to our Worcester Office: Cleeve House, Malvern Road, Worcester, WR2 4YX.
