Clergy person sought for key diocesan governance role
Posted 1 hour 8 minutes ago by Truro Diocese
The Diocesan Board of Finance is seeking a member of clergy to join its Finance, Assets and Risk Committee, a sub-committee of the Bishop's Diocesan Council (the Board).
The committee has delegated responsibility for overseeing the stewardship and effective use of diocesan funds and resources. Its work includes making decisions and recommendations on matters such as the Mission and Ministry Fund, the resourcing of diocesan plans and strategy, and the management of diocesan assets.
We are particularly keen to appoint a member of clergy, whose experience and perspective would make a valuable contribution to the committee's discussions and decision making.
The committee currently has five members, including two qualified accountants. While financial acumen and experience in a relevant area are important, applicants do not need to be qualified accountants.
The committee meets seven times each year, usually at 9.00am on Wednesdays. All but one meeting are held online.
To ensure participation is accessible, we can cover travel expenses, childcare costs and other reasonable expenses.
If you would like to contribute to this important area of diocesan governance, or would like an informal conversation before expressing an interest, please contact .
