Priory Hospital Newbury is looking to recruit a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.

You will be passionate about supporting others and helping your team succeed, ensuring cleaning services are delivered to operational standards. We are happy to discuss your preferences for working days and hours, with shifts typically available between 7am-5pm, Monday to Sunday.

Priory Hospital Newbury, located Berkshire, is a level 2 rehabilitation service which supports male adults with mental health needs, who are working towards a life back in the community. It also offers excellent transport links.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising a team of cleaning staff to deliver high standards across the site
• Planning and coordinating staff rotas to ensure continuity of service
• Supporting recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of team members
• Monitoring cleaning standards and ensuring compliance with health & safety and statutory regulations
• Managing stock, equipment, and supplies, including ordering and stock control
• Reporting maintenance issues, damage, or hazards
• Supporting training and ensuring team compliance with required standards

What you'll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

• Good standard of English, with basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Previous experience in a cleaning role, ideally within a healthcare or similar environment
• Experience within a hospital/hotel environment together with some supervisory experience
• Good understanding of health & safety, COSHH, and cleaning standards
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team positively
• Reliable, organised, and able to manage workloads effectively
• Good attention to detail
