Compensation: £13.95 / hour

Description

Priory Hospital Cheadle is looking to recruit a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team. This is a permanent Part Time role working 30 hours per week. We are happy to discuss your preferences for working days and hours, with shifts typically available between 7am-5pm, Monday to Sunday.

You will be passionate about supporting others and helping your team succeed, ensuring cleaning services are delivered to operational standards. Set within picturesque landscaped gardens in Stockport, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults. The focus of our service is to help people to live their best life in a safe and supportive environment.

What you'll be doing
  • Supervising a team of cleaning staff to deliver high standards across the site
  • Planning and coordinating staff rotas to ensure continuity of service
  • Supporting recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of team members
  • Monitoring cleaning standards and ensuring compliance with health & safety and statutory regulations
  • Managing stock, equipment, and supplies, including ordering and stock control
  • Reporting maintenance issues, damage, or hazards
  • Supporting training and ensuring team compliance with required standards
What you'll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

  • Good standard of English, with basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Previous experience in a cleaning role, ideally within a healthcare or similar environment
  • Experience within a hospital/hotel environment together with some supervisory experience
  • Good understanding of health & safety, COSHH, and cleaning standards
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team positively
  • Reliable, organised, and able to manage workloads effectively
  • Good attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to carry out an active role throughout the day
