Hours: 10 hours per week
Salary: £13.45 per hour plus Sodexo benefits
About the RoleWe are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CleaningOperative to join our team. You will play a key role in ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our clients while delivering services in line with company standards and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out cleaning duties across all designated areas to the highest standards, including periodic and deep cleaning tasks
- Ensure all cleaning activities are delivered in line with client contracts and service level agreements
- Safely use cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH regulations
- Operate cleaning equipment correctly and report any faults immediately
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of cleaning stores and equipment
- Use appropriate safety signage (e.g. wet floor signs) and promote a safe working environment
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management
- Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and security regulations
- Provide cover for colleagues during absence when required
- Report hazards, incidents, or irregularities promptly
- Attend training sessions and team meetings as required
- Follow all company HR policies and procedures, including attendance reporting and performance processes
- Adhere to purchasing and operational procedures
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, hygiene, and fire regulations
- Demonstrate company values: Service Spirit, Team Spirit, and Spirit of Progress
- Previous cleaning experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of cleaning standards and compliance environments
- Understanding of health and safety practices, including COSHH
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable approach to changing business needs
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or BICS (desirable)
- High standards of cleanliness and hygiene consistently maintained
- Positive feedback from clients and customers
- Full compliance with company and statutory regulations
