Job Description

Our cleaners are an essential part of our team, enabling our students to learn and achieve in a clean and safe environment. We are looking for reliable, conscientious individuals who can work flexibly and as part of a supportive, friendly team.

The role involves ensuring that The Apex Centre West is cleaned to the highest standards and meets all health and safety requirements. You will receive full support and guidance to ensure you can carry out your duties effectively.

Part time hours: 10 hours per week, 44 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days and 5 weeks of deep cleaning)

Working Pattern: 2 hours per day, 5 days per week.

Salary: Band 1, Point 1. Actual starting salary: £6,346.69 per annum.

Anticipated start date: ASAP

Main Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning, washing and polishing floors using appropriate equipment
  • Emptying waste bins and safely disposing of rubbish
  • Dusting, wiping and polishing furniture and fixtures
  • Undertaking deep cleaning during school holiday periods
  • Maintaining a tidy, safe cleaning storage area
  • Following all health, safety and safeguarding procedures
  • Supporting the wider cleaning team to deliver consistent high standards
