Are you a resilient and compassionate Primary Class Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity within an SEMH setting? Do you want to teach small classes where strong relationships, structure and consistency help pupils succeed? This SEMH school in Walsall is looking to appoint a dedicated Class Teacher to join their supportive and experienced team.
As a Class Teacher, you will teach small classes of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviours. You will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons while creating a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment where pupils feel safe, valued and able to engage with learning.
This role requires excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils who may face barriers to education. You will work closely with a small staff team and be supported by outstanding Teaching Assistants who play a key role in supporting behaviour, engagement and progress. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and helping them achieve positive outcomes.
Job Role- Teaching small classes of pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours
- Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
- Creating a structured, calm and supportive classroom environment
- Managing behaviour positively and consistently
- Building strong relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
- Working closely with outstanding Teaching Assistants and support staff
- Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and personal development
- Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress
- Teach small classes with excellent staff support
- Work alongside outstanding Teaching Assistants and experienced colleagues
- Be part of a supportive and collaborative school team

- Be paid to scale in line with experience up to MPS6
