Class 1 Driver

Location: SnettertonPay: £17.00 - £19.00 per hourShift times: Weekend work - flexible when it comes to hours worked, from Friday night through to Monday morning.Length of assignment: Ongoing (potential temp to perm)Manpower is currently recruiting for Class 1 HGV drivers to work on behalf of one of our national food and drinks logistics distribution clients.What you'll do on a typical day:

• Carry out a maximum of two deliveries per day to the customer delivery points, following all relevant store and non-store delivery procedures as per company and customer policies
• Maintain the highest levels of hygiene and housekeeping standards within the depot, vehicle, and trailer assigned for daily duties
• Regularly inspect the vehicle for defects and wear and tear, and report any issues promptly to ensure timely and effective maintenance
• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork within the given time frame, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements

What you need to succeed with our client:

• A full UK driving licence with C+E category - must have 2 year's experience
• Less than six points on your licence (as well as no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
• An up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work on your initiative
• Must be able to pass an on site assessment prior to assignment commencement
