Job Description
Role Overview

We are recruiting a Nurse Practitioner for the Hospital at Night Team within the Division of Medicine and Unscheduled Care in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This permanent position offers 22.5 hours per week (Band 6) and includes training to achieve a PG certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice.

Schedule

Work will be predominantly overnight, with occasional daytime days to attend meetings and support the induction of medical colleagues. A self rostering system allows 2 nights per week, supporting a healthy work/life balance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide overnight nursing care, managing deteriorating patients and delivering clinical emergency responses.
  • Undertake unscheduled patient clerking.
  • Support management responsibilities for the Senior Healthcare Support Worker team.
  • Maintain and develop advanced practice skills, knowledge and competence, and aid the development of others.
  • Participate in clinical supervision sessions to support professional development.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Registered nurse with relevant acute post registration experience.
  • Motive to work overnight in a supportive, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Openness to further training to achieve a PG certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice.
