We are working with an award-winning, well established Civil Engineering Contractor. The company experiencing an extended period of growth - they operate on a number of frameworks and get regular repeat business from their clients.

They work across both Highways and Estate Management projects across the Greater Manchester region.
They are now recruiting for a Site Manager to join their team on a permanent basis, and can offer the successful candidate long term stability within an established and well structured business. The work is predominantly based within Greater Manchester, offering longevity of works without the requirement for too much travel.
Duties:
The Site Manager will take a hands-on role overseeing civil engineering works across both highway schemes (new bus lanes, bus shelters, cycle lanes etc.) and estate management projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day site operations across civils and highways projects
- Supervising subcontractors, direct labour and plant activities
- Maintaining health and safety compliance and site standards
- Coordinating programmes and short-term planning activities
- Liaising with engineers, commercial teams and senior leadership
- Monitoring workmanship and ensuring quality requirements are achieved
- Managing RAMS, permits and site documentation
- Overseeing site logistics, materials and deliveries
- Maintaining communication with stakeholders and local authorities
- Identifying risks and resolving site challenges efficiently
- Supporting delivery to programme and commercial expectations
The successful Site Manager will have strong experience within civil engineering environments, particularly highways.
You must also be able to demonstrate a stable career history on your CV within the Civil Engineering sector.
The successful candidate should hold SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid. Streetworks and Temporary Works are ideal but not essential as the business are happy to organise any further training required.
