Job Description

Are you a customer focused person who is an effective communicator? Are you well organised and enjoy working as part of a team? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join Wessex Water as a CivilsOperator for the MHS project.

We will help you get up to speed by providing on the job training and regular coaching and mentoring to ensure you can perform the role.

What you'll do

The role of Civils Operator involves a balance of working self sufficiently and as part of a team. Our Sewer Renovation team not only repairs and maintains all of the wastewater network, but also investigates groundwater infiltration and carries out remedial work to protect the environment and the quality of the water course.

This position is highly varied and diverse, so there will never be a dull moment. Every day, you will work at different locations to ensure we keep our infrastructure up and running.

What you'll need

You will have good communication skills and be confident engaging with customers and colleagues throughout the business, over the phone and face to face. It would be great if you have an understanding of sewer networks, but we will train you if you don't.

This is a regional role working all over the Wessex Water region. You may occasionally be required to work outside normal working hours, along with an occasional night away.

The most important thing is your attitude and that you're not afraid of hard work.
