About Your New Employer

This company is a leading civil engineering, plant hire and groundworks contractor that has been trading for over 20 years. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality groundworks and civil engineering solutions, they work alongside some of Ireland's leading building contractors and residential developers.

The business specialises in delivering large-scale groundworks and civils packages on major residential developments throughout Dublin, supported by an experienced workforce and a modern fleet of plant and equipment. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team and oversee projects across the South West Dublin region.

About Your New Job

As Project Manager, you'll take a leading role in the successful delivery of large-scale residential infrastructure and groundworks projects from commencement through to completion.

You will be responsible for managing one to two projects at any given time, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and within budget. The role offers a mix of site-based and office-based responsibilities, providing exposure to all aspects of project delivery.

The successful candidate will initially join a flagship residential development in South West Dublin, with over four years of secured work remaining, offering excellent long term career stability and progression opportunities.

Working closely with site teams, engineers, subcontractors, clients, and senior management, you'll oversee all aspects of project delivery, including earthworks, drainage, utilities, roadworks, and structural concrete works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage day to day site operations across large scale residential groundworks and civil engineering projects.
  • Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant, materials, and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress against programme targets and proactively resolve any issues impacting delivery.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including site records, progress reports, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
  • Ensure technical drawings and specifications are interpreted and executed correctly.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Support commercial and operational teams in managing project costs and identifying efficiencies.
What You'll Need
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering residential groundworks and civil engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of large scale residential developments, infrastructure works, drainage, utilities, roads, and reinforced concrete structures.
  • Excellent leadership, planning, organisational, and problem solving skills.
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage project resources effectively.
  • Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Safe Pass, First Aid, and other relevant site management certifications are desirable.
What's On Offer

Successful applicants will receive a salary of €80,000 - €100,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including:

  • Annual performance related bonus.
  • Private healthcare plan.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Fully expensed commercial vehicle.
  • Fuel card and toll card.
  • Ongoing professional development and training support.
  • Career progression opportunities within a growing and well established contractor.
  • Long term project pipeline, including a major residential scheme with over four years of secured work.
