Civil Engineer - Contract

Overview

We have an opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our client on a contract basis to support the infrastructure drainage team. This is an opportunity to work outside IR35, 5 days a week with a requirement of visiting their London office 2 days a week.

The role

• Design foul and surface water drainage systems, earthworks, roads and pavement layouts
• Own your work on multi-disciplinary design projects - from concept to construction
• Lead packages of work and guide junior staff as you progress
• Ensure compliance with UK standards (CIRIA 753, Sewers for Scotland, Eurocodes, etc.)

What you need to succeed

• A degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering.
• The ability to balance technical detail with project-wide thinking.
• Ideally you should have a minimum of 5years UK experience in a design consultancy.
• You must have strong skills in MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage & experience in the use of Civils 3D and AutoCAD 2D/3D.
• It's very important to have a strong understanding of S278, S104 and infrastructure agreements.
