Job Description
Purpose of the Role:
The heart of the Hub's welcome. You'll keep people fuelled with a good drink and something worth smiling about - and you'll notice who might need a bit more than just a coffee.
Key Tasks:
- Welcome citizens warmly and make them feel at home from the moment they arrive.
- Prepare hot and cold drinks to order - barista training provided.
- Keep the café area clean, stocked and inviting throughout the day.
- Notice if someone seems unsure or overwhelmed, and gently point them in the right direction.
- Support the team with light refreshment prep for events.
Skills & Qualities:
- Warm and approachable with a genuine interest in people.
- Comfortable being on your feet for a session.
- An eye for when someone might need a little extra care.
- No barista experience needed - full training provided.
Time Commitment:
One day per week, 10am-4pm (flexible).
