About the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join our Recovery Unit on a full time, permanent basis for our BAIRD Family Hospital. This crucial role provides high quality, patient centred care during the immediate post operative period.
Responsibilities:
- Continuous assessment, monitoring and management of patients recovering from anaesthesia and surgery.
- Work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, remaining flexible and adaptable to changing service demands.
- Provide excellent communication with patients, families and colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Relevant experience working within post anaesthetic care or a similar high dependency setting within the NHS.
- Experience in acute care or a comparable environment is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Benefits & Working Conditions:
- Relocation allowance of up to £8,000 for successful candidates.
- As of 1 April 2026, the full time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours with a corresponding increase in hourly rate.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview on 12 March 2026. Interviews will be conducted in person, but alternative arrangements will be considered when necessary.
