Graduate Developer / Analyst Programmer

London - Hybrid Working

As a Graduate Developer, you'll be an integral part of a close-knit team responsible for developing and supporting bespoke IT systems.

This role will offer you a wide variety of technical and business challenges as new products, regulations, and market practices emerge.

You'll work across both legacy and modern platforms, with a strong focus on training and development to get you up to speed quickly. From day one, you'll contribute to real-world projects and gradually build your knowledge of both the technical and operational aspects of the organisation

What You'll Be Working On

• Our core application, running on an IBM i platform, primarily developed in RPG and some Java
• Applications developed manually and via the CA:2E (Synon) rapid application development tool
• A new system revamp project, featuring a ReactJS front-end and NodeJS API layer on top of our existing platform

Key Responsibilities

• Analysing problems and gathering requirements
• Designing and developing solutions
• Writing and maintaining code (RPG and JavaScript)
• Performing testing and quality assurance
• Producing technical and user documentationProviding user and system support

What We're Looking For

• A recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
• A keen interest in software development and problem-solving
• Willingness to learn legacy and modern technologies (RPG, Java, ReactJS, NodeJS)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks in a small team setting
• Chinese language skills (Mandarin)
