Your Role as a Team Leader withinChildren's Services :
  • Assistwith the care of children and young people aged 12-17, ensuringa homely environment is maintained.
  • Contributeto meeting each child's physical, emotional, social, andeducational needs.
  • Buildpositive relationships with children and support theirdevelopment while ensuring their safety.
  • Promoteindependence by supporting daily tasks such as travel, cooking,and other essential life skills.
  • Providemonthly support and challenge supervision.
  • Workwithin a team to advocate for children's needs.
  • Mentorand develop less experienced staff to enhance theirskills.
  • Providesupport and development for all the workers.
  • Beflexible to work across different shift patterns, includingwaking nights, day shifts, and sleep-in shifts whereapplicable.
Requirements

OurIdeal Candidate should:

  • Havetheir level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma or relevantqualification.
  • Eitherhold or willing to work towards a management qualificationpreferred.
  • Willingnessto learn and understand awareness of the childrens homesregulations, and quality standards.
  • Haveleadership qualities and experience of mentoring and supportingless experienced staff.
  • Havea genuine desire to improve lives and promoteself-esteem.
  • Demonstrateexcellent communication skills and empathy.
  • Staycalm under pressure and work flexibly.
