Job Description

Join our dedicated Family Help Team in Herefordshire as a Children's Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in supporting children and families in need. As a Children's Social Worker, your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
  • Monitoring and reviewing progress to ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • Providing support and guidance to families to enhance their parenting skills.
  • Collaborating with schools, health services, and other agencies to coordinate care and support.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and family support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse families.
  • Sound knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding policies.
