Summary of role

We are currently recruiting compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team, supporting children and young people across Leeds and Bradford. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children, whether you already have experience or are keen to learn and develop through training.
As a Children's Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people, helping them with daily activities while promoting their independence, wellbeing, and safety. You will build positive relationships, follow individual care plans, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment at all times. This role is suitable for individuals with experience in childcare or those who are willing to undertake training and develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with their daily routines, including personal care where required.

• Promote independence, wellbeing, confidence, and positive outcomes.

• Build positive, trusting, and professional relationships with children, young people, and their families.

• Provide emotional support and encourage participation in social, educational, and recreational activities.

• Assist with meal preparation, household tasks, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.

• Support children and young people with appointments, medication, and daily living skills.

• Follow individual care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures.

• Monitor and report any changes in a child's wellbeing, behaviour, or circumstances.

• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and other professionals.

• Promote equality, diversity, dignity, and person-centred care at all times.
