Job Title: Children's Home Registered Manager
Location: Nuneaton, CV10, Warwickshire, West Midlands
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Our client, a leading provider of children's residential care services, is seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to oversee a residential home in Nuneaton. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team in delivering high-quality, clinically informed care that supports the needs and well being of young people. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the service operates in compliance with legislation and regulatory standards, fostering a positive environment for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Managing the residential home to ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and the Statement of Purpose.
- Developing and implementing a service development plan to deliver high standards of care.
- Supporting and supervising staff to achieve the highest standards of care for young people.
- Coordinating casework, administrative functions, and evaluating performance standards.
- Leading recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, external agencies, and families.
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Managing budgets and financial procedures within the home.
- Participating in on-call duties and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification; or a willingness to work towards this.
- Significant experience at a senior level within a children's home or social care setting, with a minimum of three years' experience in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of children's social care legislation, regulations, and standards, including the Children's Act and National Care Standards.
- Proven leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Ability to develop professional growth within your team and motivate others.
- Knowledge of budget management and resource planning.
- Enhanced DBS check and relevant safeguarding training.
