About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead our Intake & Assessment Children's Home in Powys, complete with an onsite school provision.

This specialist home supports up to four young people with complex social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD), often resulting from adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Children typically stay for 6-9 months, during their time with us you will:

  • Lead comprehensive care, clinical and education assessments alongside a dedicated Clinical Team
  • Develop tailored placement plans to support long-term positive outcomes
  • Ensure safeguarding excellence and regulatory compliance
  • Advocate for each young person, ensuring their voice shapes their care
  • Build and lead a stable, motivated, high-performing staff team
  • Maintain exceptional standards in line with CIW regulations

About You

To succeed in this Children's Home Manager job in Wales, you will have:

  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in Residential Children's Services (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of the statutory and regulatory framework for registered Children's Homes in Wales
  • Proven experience working with vulnerable children and young people
  • Demonstrable safeguarding leadership and quality assurance expertise
  • The ability to combine a hands-on approach with creative, solution-focused leadership
  • A positive, resilient and 'can-do' attitude
  • You'll understand that safeguarding, quality of care and positive outcomes are always the top priorities.
