£66,000 OTE

Are you a compassionate and experienced leader in residential childcare? We're seeking a Children's Home Manager to take the reins of an already established and fully operational 5-bed EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) home in Stockport.

This is your opportunity to make an immediate impact-guiding an existing team and supporting children who are already living in the home-while being backed by a trusted and reputable care provider.

About the Role:
You'll take full responsibility for managing the home, ensuring it continues to meet the highest standards of care, compliance, and therapeutic support. You'll inspire and develop a committed team and help shape positive outcomes for the children and young people in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of a 5-bed EBD children's home
  • Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted and all regulatory standards
  • Supporting and safeguarding the welfare of children already placed in the home
  • Leading and developing a child-focused, trauma-informed care team
  • Driving a culture of excellence, care, and continuous improvement
  • Building strong partnerships with local authorities and external professionals

They Are Looking For:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years' management experience in a children's residential setting
  • A deep understanding of safeguarding, child development, and EBD support
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • A child-centred, resilient, and proactive mindset
