Job Title: Children's Home Dual Registered Manager
Location: Barnsley
Salary: £54,000 per annum + bonuses (OTE up to £70,800)
Working Hour: 39 hours per week Monday-Friday 9am-5pm (on-call rota required)
Hourly Rate: N/A - salaried role
️ Number of Sleeps Required: As required to cover shortfalls
Pay Per Sleep: Included within salary / on-call arrangements
Service: Children's Home
Service Users: YPs EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Needs)
Qualifications Required:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People)
- Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People Workforce (or equivalent)
Experience in Years Required: - Minimum 3 years' experience within the last 5 years in residential childcare
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or management role

The Home:- Number of Beds: Two homes - 1 x 2-bed & 1 x 4-bed
- Location: Barnsley
- Type of YPs: EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Needs)
- Ofsted Rating: Homes operating to high Ofsted standards
- Ratio of staff to children: Established staffing teams in place
An experienced and motivated Dual Registered Manager to oversee two children's residential homes. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, ensuring high-quality care, compliance, and positive outcomes for young people.
You will:
- Lead and manage both homes in line with legislation, regulations, and Statements of Purpose
- Promote safeguarding, child protection, and young people's rights
- Lead, supervise, and develop staff teams
- Ensure high standards of care aligned with Ofsted requirements
- Manage admissions and discharges
- Oversee care planning to meet physical, emotional, psychological, and social needs
- Prepare for and attend inspections, audits, and meetings
- Undertake on-call duties on a rota basis
- Write and oversee concise, evaluative reports
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the homes
- Well-established children's residential care organisation
- Medium-sized provider with a long-standing reputation
