Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Home

Location: Nottingham, NG12
Salary: £34,000-£38,000 per annum
Home Size: 4 Bed Therapeutic Home

What We're Looking For
  • Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce / Residential Childcare (essential)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker within children's residential care
  • Experience supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma and attachment difficulties
  • Good understanding of therapeutic parenting, attachment-based practice, DDP and PACE (desirable)
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred and therapeutic care
  • Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to supervise, mentor and support residential staff
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and children's residential regulations
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Right to work in the UKSuccessful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day leadership and management of the home
  • Lead shifts and supervise the residential care team
  • Provide high-quality therapeutic care to children aged 7-17 with social, emotional and complex needs
  • Promote a safe, nurturing and stable home environment where children can thrive
  • Support children with education, personal development and independence
  • Supervise staff, complete supervisions and support ongoing staff development
  • Ensure care plans, placement plans, policies, procedures and risk assessments are effectively implemented
  • Assist with rota management and day-to-day operational responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, safeguarding requirements and organisational policies
  • Build positive relationships with children, families and external professionals
  • Maintain accurate records and regulatory documentation
  • Promote positive outcomes through therapeutic parenting and trauma-informed approaches
