Deputy Children's Home Manager - 4 Bed EBD

Location: Leicester, LE18

Salary: £38,000 per annum (Inclusive of 4 sleep ins per month)

Job Type: Permanent

Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential children's home setting.
  • Proven leadership and management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as required.
  • Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (desirable - training support available for the right candidate).
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager with the daily operation of the home, ensuring smooth and effective service delivery.
  • Maintain the highest standards of care in line with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding practices, and company policies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of residential care workers to deliver person centred care.
  • Oversee and review individual care plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that promotes positive outcomes.
  • Manage administrative duties including staff rotas, budgeting, and accurate record keeping.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, professionals, and families to support holistic care.
  • Encourage professional development within the team and promote internal career progression opportunities.
