We are currently recruiting for Social Workers and Senior Social Workers in all locality teams. Gloucestershire covers six localities: Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Forest of Dean, Stroud, Cotswolds.

We are a local authority adopting systemic social work practice, focused on a relational approach to working with families and ensuring children thrive. Our teams include a Team Manager, Advanced Practitioner, 4 Social Workers and an NQSW in each team to maintain supportive caseloads and strong supervision.

Our aim is to support children and families from the front door until permanence is achieved, whether through positive change within the family or legal permanence outside the family.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a first-class service to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people, building positive relationships with colleagues and partner agencies to provide support and protection where needed.
• Work within a systemic, relational framework to identify what needs to change in the system around a child and family to enable thriving outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and partner agencies to safeguard children and young people at risk and to promote positive long-term outcomes.

Qualifications

• Social Work England registration
• A recognised qualification in Social Work
• To have passed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) (if you qualified after 2012)
• Full driving licence and willingness to drive
• DBS clearance (Enhanced Adults and Children's)

Rewards and Additional Information

• Salary ranges: Social Worker £39,152 - £40,777 per annum; Senior Social Worker £41,771 - £47,181 per annum, subject to experience
• Annual retention payment of £2,000
