Childcare Family Solicitor

We are seeking an experienced Children Panel Accredited Child Care Solicitor to join my clients growing Family team.

My client are a highly regarded boutique law firm in Birmingham. This is a senior role offering autonomy, flexible working, and the opportunity to supervise junior colleagues.

The Role

Manage a complex public and private Child Care caseload, including Legal Aid/CCMS and advocacy

Represent parents, family members, and children (directly or via CAFCASS Guardians)

Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and caseworkers, supporting team development

Contribute to business development and strengthening referral networks

The Person

Children Panel Accredited Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in Child Care

Strong experience in Legal Aid, care proceedings, and sensitive client matters

Confident advocate with excellent drafting, case management, and client care skills

Commercially aware, proactive, and able to build trusted professional relationships
