Childcare Apprenticeship - Cherry Tree Day Nursery

Shoots Training arecurrently looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and reliable individual to complete their Level 2 or 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Cherry Tree Day Nursery.

Cherry Tree Day Nursery have a garden area and 5 rooms that are free flow. You will be caring for children from birth and 5 years.

Your duties as an apprentice will include:

• Setting up the rooms in morning, planning and preparing the day's activities, and assisting in creating a stimulating environment.
• Will be tidying away at the end of every day and overseeing general housekeeping duties.
• Undertaking all aspects of personal care, including nappy changing, toileting and assist with feeding.
• Attending monthly staff meetings and undertaking ongoing training.
• You will learn the role of a practitioner with guidance. Once ready, will be allocated a small key group of children.
• You will ensure nursery and safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times, and that children are well cared for, nurtured and kept safe.
• We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative person to join our team, you will need to show a willingness to learn and be able to work alongside our SENCO and other colleagues.

Hours

• Cherry Tree Day Nursery is open from 7:30am until 18:00pm, Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work between 37.5 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed

Requirements

• Level 2 Childcare Qualification is required when applying or a good amount of experience within a similar role
• You ideally will have GCSE Grades A -C/4-9 in English Language and maths, or equivalent
• To be able to obtain a clear DBS
