Job Description
The Early Childhood Service (SDPE) is responsible for implementing the City of Geneva's policies in favor of early childhood, managing municipal childcare structures, and supporting the childcare structures it subsidizes. In order to complete the team at the Eglantyne Jebb childcare center for the upcoming school year, we are looking for a candidate for early childhood services. Your mission and responsibilities:- Organize the welcome and support for children (0 to 4 years old), ensuring quality in compliance with applicable standards.- Contribute to the implementation of the educational project of the childcare structure and the institutional project.- Develop and implement actions related to the educational project.- Accompany and supervise the activities of interns, learners, ASE (educators), and assistants.- Promote a group dynamic conducive to the awakening, development, and well-being of children (0 to 4 years old).- Ensure communication and the transfer of information to families.- Participate in and attend meetings and exchanges with representatives of stakeholders.Profile:- Hold a diploma from the Geneva or Lausanne Higher School of Childhood (ESEDE), or a recognized diploma in a related field by SEFRI.- Demonstrate enthusiasm, openness, and kindness.- Show strong listening skills, good stress management, and ease with communication.- Have at least 2 years of successful experience working with young children.Conditions and registration procedure:- Registration deadline:- Start date:- Job classification: Class I of the salary scaleThe application file must contain the following elements:- A cover letter and a CV or, alternatively, a completed job application form (available for download on our website)- Copies of diplomas and work certificates- A recent passport-sized photoRegarding the City of Geneva, the recruitment process is decentralized.
