Chief Information Security Officer

Our client, a large enterprise organization, is building out its first executive security leadership function and needs a CISO to establish enterprise-wide governance from the ground up. This is a strategic, board-facing role focused on oversight and risk translation rather than hands-on technical work - you'll operate across a large, complex, multi-entity structure and serve as the primary executive voice on cybersecurity risk.

Compensation

$200-230K Based On Experience

What You'll Be Doing

• Establish and own governance across identity access, cyber defense operations, and enterprise risk management
• Guide compliance efforts and reporting processes tied to public-company obligationsci
• Brief the Board, Audit Committee, and executive leadership on security posture and risk
• Convert technical risk findings into business decisions and funding priorities
• Oversee security due diligence and integration for acquisitions
• Set policy for responsible use and oversight of AI-driven tools
• Recruit, develop, and retain a strong bench of security leaders across the organization

What You'll Need to be Considered

• Bachelor's degree in a technology, security, or related field
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in cybersecurity or information risk
• Prior senior security leadership experience at a publicly traded company
• Comfortable presenting directly to boards, executives, or regulatory bodies
• Background leading security efforts across multiple business units or subsidiaries
• Master's degree in a related field (preferred)
• Experience defining security governance for AI agents and tools.
• Active executive-level security certification such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, or CCSP (preferred)
