Chief Engineer

About the Role

As a Chief Engineer, you will act as a hands-on team lead responsible for overseeing the progress of all technical projects across our sauce and margarine production facilities. We regularly upgrade and improve sections of our production lines and technical installations. Additionally, ongoing development of new recipes and packaging requires technical adjustments to existing machinery.

Together with your team of three engineers, you will ensure that these projects are well-prepared and successfully executed, with your primary role focused on coordination and leadership.

What You'll Do

Typical responsibilities include:

• Designing process layouts or equipment setups for new recipes
• Preparing for the purchase of new packaging machines or format parts for new packaging
• Creating instructional materials and ensuring a thorough handover of new process and packaging equipment to the production team
• Managing external suppliers and technical partners

• Driving continuous improvement initiatives

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree (HBO level) in Engineering or a related technical field
• At least 5 years of relevant technical experience, ideally in food production
• Strong organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented skills
• Experience leading and coordinating a small team of technical professionals
