Job Description

Enterprise Defence is an Irish technology company specialising in IT governance, cybersecurity, and AI-driven intelligence platforms. We currently serve clients in the retail sector and are expanding into financial services, healthcare, and manufacturing. With ambitious growth plans, including international scaling into the UK, Europe, North America and APAC, we are recruiting a senior commercial leader to join our management team.

The Role - Chief Commercial Officer

We are seeking an experienced senior manager to lead international market development, export growth, and strategic partnerships. This is a new role at Enterprise Defence, reflecting our transition from service-based solutions to scalable, export-led technology platforms.

The Chief Commercial Officer will:

  • Develop and execute our international market entry strategy, with a focus on Europe, North America, and APAC.
  • Establish and manage global strategic partnerships (MSSPs, VARs, cloud providers, sector alliances).
  • Drive export revenue growth by positioning our platforms with international enterprise customers in regulated industries including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and retail.
  • Build and lead a commercial team in Ireland to support export sales, marketing operations, and customer success.
  • Work closely with product and technical leadership to align market needs with product development and ensure competitive positioning.
  • Represent Enterprise Defence at international trade shows, industry forums, and key client engagements.
Key Requirements
  • 15+ years in senior commercial, strategic, or partnership leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of international scaling/export growth in SaaS, cybersecurity, or technology sectors.
  • Strong network across enterprise and regulated markets.
  • Experience building and enabling channel/partner ecosystems globally.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence at board level, and deliver measurable growth.
  • Based in Ireland, with flexibility for international travel.
Expected Impact
  • Entry into at least two new export markets within 24 months.
  • 40% of company revenue from exports by Year 3, rising to 60-70% by Year 5.
  • At least five international strategic partnerships established.
  • Creation of new high-value jobs in Ireland to support scaling.
