Chief Cardiac Physiologist

We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Chief Cardiac Physiologist to join our dedicated Echo team at InHealth. This is an exciting opportunity to work across our well-established clinics in Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds. You will predominantly work at our Community Diagnostic Centres in Manchester and Liverpool, supporting our clinic in Leeds 1-2 days per month. We will consider both full-time and part-time hours for the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report adult transthoracic echocardiograms to BSE standards using the latest equipment and software.
• Provide expert support to peers through our second-opinion rota, upholding clinical best practice.
• Play a leading role in mentoring trainee physiologists and supporting their development.
• Get involved in clinical audits, help drive service quality, and influence future improvements.
• Ensure equipment is well maintained with regular quality assurance checks.
• Support urgent clinical referrals through clear, professional communication with GPs and hospital teams.
• Help keep patient systems up to date and assist with bookings as needed.

What Were Looking For

• BSE accreditation (or equivalent) with strong experience in adult transthoracic echo
• A confident, independent reporter with a patient-first mindset
• Skilled in working within BSE guidelines and committed to quality and safety
• A natural mentor with a desire to share knowledge and grow the next generation of cardiac physiologists
• A team player with strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Up-to-date on Information Governance, Data Protection, and Caldicott Principles
