Chief Actuary

We are looking for a Chief Actuary to lead the Tindall Riley team of actuaries. The role will include fulfilling the regulatory SMF20 roles for Britannia and Wren.

You will lead a team of 8 and report to the Tindall Riley CFO.

Key Responsibilities: Britannia SMF20 and Wren SMF20

• To support the CFO in co-ordinating and managing the calculation of the Technical Provisions.
• To provide actuarial opinions on the Association's:
  • appropriateness of the Solvencytechnical provisions
  • overall underwriting policy; and
  • adequacy of the reinsurance arrangements.
• To contribute to the Association's risk management, including:
  • calculating the SCR and internal capital requirements, for regulatory returns and the ORSA; and
  • assessing the accuracy and appropriateness of the standard formula SCR calculation for the business.
• Present findings on the above to the appropriate Boards / Committees.

Key Responsibilities: Additional to SMF20 responsibilities

• Manage the Tindall Riley Actuarial Team, including providing oversight to Pricing Function.
• For Britannia, support submission of regulatory returns, in:
  • Japan
  • Hong Kong
  • Singapore
  • Japan
  • Bermuda
  • US
• Chair Reserving Working Group for Hydra Insurance Company Ltd
• Support Britannia's calculation of the S&P capital model
