We are launching Chery in Durham.

A new brand to the UK. A new opportunity for Croxdale. And a chance to build something from the ground up.

This is not a typical dealership role.

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Sales Manager who can take ownership of a brand at launch stage, building the team, setting the standards, and establishing Chery in the North East market.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a new car franchise launch, shaping both the customer experience and commercial success from day one. In practical terms you will:

• Lead the launch of a new automotive brand in Durham
• Build and develop a high-performing sales team
• Drive new and used vehicle sales performance
• Shape the customer journey and showroom experience

About the Role

As Chery Brand Sales Manager, you will take ownership of the brand from day one,leading its launch and shaping its long-term success within the Durham and North East market.

This is a commercially driven leadership role, with success measured by your ability to build a high-performing team, drive sales performance, and establish Chery as a recognised brand in the region.

You will:

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing automotivesales team, focusedon delivering a consistent, high-quality customer experience
• Establish Chery within the local market, turning awareness into enquiries, test drives, and vehicle sales
• Set and maintain clear standards for sales performance, process, and customer engagement
• Take full responsibility for sales results, profitability, and lead conversion across the department
• Shape the end-to-end customer journey,from first enquiry through to handover and retention
• Work closely with the senior leadership to position Chery for long-term growth within Croxdale Group

About You

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Sales Manager who is comfortable operating in a build environment, where expectations are clear and results matter.

You are motivated by achieving outcomes, take ownership of performance, and is confident working towards defined commercial objectives.? ?

You will:

• Have proven experience leading a sales team within the automotive sector or motor trade sector
• Be confident working with a new or developing brand, where structure and processes are still evolving
• Understand how to turn customer interest into action,from enquiry through to confimred sale
• Lead from the front, setting clear expectations and holding your team accountable for performance
• Be commercially driven, with a strong understanding of targets, margins, and key performance drivers
• Take a practical, hands-on approach to leadership, supporting the team to deliver results day-to-way
