Are you a highly motivated and enthusiastic Chemistry Graduate looking to gain valuable school-based experience before progressing into teaching? A high-achieving secondary school in Havering is seeking a confident Chemistry Graduate to join their team as a Science Academic Mentor.

Responsibilities

As a Chemistry Graduate, you will support students across KS3-KS5, delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions to help raise attainment and build confidence within Science. The successful Chemistry Graduate will work closely with teachers to support both high-achieving students and those requiring additional academic support, helping all learners to reach their full potential.

  • Support students across KS3-KS5 with targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Collaborate with science teachers to raise attainment and confidence in Science
  • Assist high-achieving students and provide academic support for those needing additional help
  • Contribute to a positive learning environment that enables all learners to reach their potential
Requirements
  • Holds a degree in Chemistry or a related Science subject from a leading university
  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills
  • Passionate about education and supporting young people
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students of all abilities
  • Considering a future career in teaching or education
