Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our guests while maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and menus
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets presentation standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and create new dishes
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Participate in maintaining kitchen equipment and reporting any maintenance issues
Requirements
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting
Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Previous experience serving customers is advantageous but not essential

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
