Chef position - Head chef

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and talented Chef to join our team and contribute to the success and growth of our cafe. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background with experience in prepping, baking, and managing a kitchen. As a Chef at Café Black, you will be responsible for:

- Preparing and cooking high-quality food items for our menu, ensuring consistency and excellence in taste and presentation.

- Managing kitchen operations efficiently, including inventory management, stock listing, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

- Baking a variety of cakes, pastries, and savory items with precision and creativity to delight our customers.

- Collaborating with the Cafe Manager and staff to develop innovative ideas for menu enhancements and seasonal specials.

- Contributing to the growth and success of the cafe by continuously striving to improve food quality, develop new recipes, and enhance the overall dining experience.

- Providing leadership and guidance to kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements:

- Proven experience working as a Chef in a cafe or similar culinary environment.

- Strong culinary skills with proficiency in baking cakes, pastries, and savory items.

- Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

- Creative mindset with a passion for culinary innovation and menu development.

- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.

- Flexibility to work 8am - 5pm, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
