Job Overview

As Chef Manager, you will lead menu planning, food preparation, staff management, cost control and ensure high standards of quality, safety and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and plan menus in accordance with style and customer preferences.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure high quality dishes, managing wastage and portion control.
  • Recruit, train and supervise kitchen and front of house staff.
  • Provide coaching, guidance and performance feedback to the kitchen team.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, ordering supplies efficiently.
  • Interact with customers to understand catering needs and maintain open communication.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety protocols.
  • Develop and manage kitchen budgets, report on financial performance and implement cost savings.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate new ideas into menus.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, orders, and food preparation records, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Chef Manager.
  • Excellent creative culinary skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in food cost management.
  • Knowledge of food safety and health & safety regulations.
  • Ability to adapt and work in a fast paced environment.
