Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in a fast paced restaurant kitchen environment using quality produce creating high end cuisine with skill and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, under the guidance of Head Chef
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, ensuring all food is fresh and properly stored.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Help train new kitchen staff as required, sharing culinary techniques and best practices.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
Proven experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment, with a strong understanding of meal preparation techniques.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong culinary skills with attention to detail in presentation and taste.
Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members.
A willingness to learn and adapt to new cooking methods and recipes.
