Nestled in the picturesque northern Cumbria countryside, this award winning fine dining establishment offers an exceptional gastronomic experience, with a Michelin Star kitchen built around precision, seasonality and outstanding produce.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Pastry Chef to join a refined kitchen where creativity, detail and consistency are central to the guest experience. The kitchen team crafts seasonal menus inspired by the finest local produce, with a strong focus on quality, sustainability and elegant presentation.

As Pastry Chef, you will lead the pastry section, creating stunning desserts, breads, pastries and afternoon tea items that complement the restaurant's evolving menu. You will work closely with the Head Chef and wider brigade, bringing creative seasonal ideas while maintaining the exacting standards expected within a Michelin Star environment.

This role would suit a Pastry Chef who thrives in a focused, professional kitchen and takes pride in producing beautifully finished dishes with balance, flavour and precision.

You must be able to drive as accommodation is approximately 15 minutes from the venue.

Pastry Chef Ideal Profile
  • Experienced in creating high quality desserts, breads, pastries and afternoon tea offerings
  • Previous experience in a Michelin Star, fine dining or highly awarded kitchen would be beneficial
  • Passionate about seasonal ingredients and creative flavour combinations
  • Confident managing pastry production from concept through to service
  • Strong attention to detail and presentation with genuine creative flair
  • Collaborative and able to work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team
  • Calm, organised and consistent in a refined, fast paced kitchen environment
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of quality, precision and food safety
Pastry Chef de Partie Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present a range of desserts, breads and pastries to an exceptional standard
  • Lead the pastry section with confidence, organisation and consistency
  • Collaborate on menu development, contributing creative seasonal ideas
  • Work with fresh, local and seasonal produce to support the wider menu direction
  • Manage pastry section stock levels, ordering and waste control
  • Ensure consistent quality and adherence to food safety standards
  • Train and mentor junior team members when required
  • Work efficiently during busy services while maintaining high presentation standards
  • Support the delivery of a refined Michelin Star dining experience
