Chef de Partie (Conference and Events)

Jesus College seeks a Chef de Partie to prepare and deliver high quality food for conferences, meetings, corporate events, and private functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food for conference delegates including breakfasts, working lunches, buffets, and formal dinners.
• Plan, execute and maintain high standards of quality, presentation and taste for all meals.
• Prepare sandwiches and café food offerings as directed by the Head Chef.
• Develop menus that meet diverse dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, allergy friendly).
• Lead by example in a busy environment, working independently and under pressure while managing last minute changes.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy conference centre or venue in a similar role.
• NVQ qualification Level 2 minimum, Level 3 preferable.
• Strong planning, efficiency under pressure, and ability to produce consistently excellent food for both small meetings and large scale events.
• Excellent customer service orientation in a results based environment.

Working Hours

Monday Friday 7.30 am - 3.30 pm, with occasional flexibility for weekends and evenings. Additional hours are compensated as TOIL (Time Off In Lieu).

Compensation

Salary: £33,938 per annum.
